Final Touch
The film begins where our body is delivered irrevocably to foreign hands. Hands like those of Christine Pernlochner and Markus Ploner, the black-humored Tyrolean thanatologist duo, who prepares deceased for casketing the open coffin and accompanies relatives during farewell. They wash, restore and preserve the dead so that a final touch or a last kiss is possible. A film about two exceptional people with a profession that confronts us with the body and our own borders.
